Huge weekend has come and gone. So much and so little time. So here's the glowing high lows of the three day extravaganza. Sis and bro inlaw visited on Friday. Had a small pool party to christen the new blow up. We set it up on the deck right outside the slider with a small fence around it to keep everyone healthy and undrowned. Seems to work and the deck has not yet collapsed. Enjoyed some great Chinese and bakery deserts. The wife's birthday was recognized as well as my daughter's upcoming ballet recital. After a good nights sleep and saying good bye to sis and bro inlaw we drove about two hours round trip to collect our porta potty. Quite a price to pay to shit in something that is nothing more than a fancy bucket but hey, it beats the public rest rooms at the campground......(see white lake low lights from last year). After getting back with our new shitter we decided to organize a play date for the little girl of the house. It's not like we didn't have shit loads to do in order to get ready for my parents Sunday visit but hey, what the hell. So our little one had her little cousin over to continue the pool party and show off her new swing set Santa brought. All went well with that and good thing we weren't being judged on our cleaning or multi-tasking abilities because the only thing that got accomplished was milk and cookies....pool side. Just in that moment someone called in response to my recent Craig's list ad....."wanted, old crappy sail boat parts for my newly purchased old crappy international 420"...just so happens not only does he have some old crappy stuff for me but he also has the old really crappy boat hull to go with it. Now, I know the Mrs. does not want one more single piece of shit in the yard but after I tell the guy I only want the rigging and such, he says ya gotta take the boat too.....I need rid of it.....it's all one deal. Well the mast was pretty nice as were the sails. I thought I had him when I explained I didn't have a register trailer to tow it with. "oh where do you live?", he says. I explained, about an hour away. No problem he says I'll tow it there for you. So he does. Odd guy really but incredibly nice. He had about ten boats in his yard. Everything was a project going on all at once. Real A.D.D. type. So he throws the dogs in his car and we take off to my house with boat in tow. After finalizing the deal at my house we realize his dogs have run off. An hour later, he has his dogs and he's gone. After some good sleep that night we awoke to grandma and grandpa's arrival. My parents brought gifts, took the wife grocery shopping, and we all had lunch before running out the my little one's dance recital. It was two hours long and fairly highly produced. I was very proud of her. She tried her little heart out and did great. To be honest, I never thought she would make it out on stage but she did!! Hooray for you A-girl...!! It was then off for dinner and home. God am I tired. Why does today have to be Sunday??

Sounds like a crazy weekend! Thank You again for having us for dinner...3 months is too long to go without seeing the kids. The pool was great and I'm sure the kids will get alot of use out of it this summer. I'm just sorry that the visit was so short..I wanted to see your new boat and catch up...but you know miss A and her "read me a story"..although I do love reading to her! :)
